The Basics at CCSD
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
“And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42, 47b
Teaching
We teach and study the Bible that we might possess sound doctrine and the benefits which follow it.
We offer Bible studies throughout the week so that everyone has opportunities to be fed and grow in the Lord. Our primary emphasis is teaching through the Word, so if you are attending several studies during the week, you will find yourself learning a variety of books of the Bible at any time.
Sunday Morning — Celebration Service
Sunday Evening — Through the Bible Study
Mid-Week — In-Depth Bible Study
Additionally, we offer discipleship for new believers and those desiring a solid foundation in the faith. Marriage enrichment groups meet for studies that build, restore, and equip couples. Financial classes take a biblical look at money and stewardship. Parenting workshops, teacher education, and much more are offered at various times throughout the year.
Fellowship
We meet together, worship together, learn together, and grow together with the desire to be equipped for His work. In all these, you enjoy fellowship with one another, building relationships, accountability, and this brings us together in unity as we serve the Lord. It really helps you appreciate what a great family we belong to with God as our Father.
Worship
We put an emphasis on worship at our services to reflect our reverence for our Almighty God. Our worship is about Him, not about us. We desire that everyone join in and give God the praise that is due His Name.
Communion
We regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper as He has instructed us to. (I Corinthians 11:23-26) Please make it a point to join us.
Prayer
We emphasize the need for much prayer, knowing that it is the Lord accomplishing so much for us, so we come to Him with thanksgiving and the worship that is due His Name. We have the privilege of asking and seeking God in prayer, knowing that we will receive, we will find, and the door will be opened. We also want to take the time in prayer to listen and receive from the Lord as we wait upon Him.
