How to Check Your Child In For Service
Express Mode Overview
When Parent Pager is started in Express Mode the computer will be configured to operate in a “Self Check in” method that allows parents/guardians to check their children in and out, by themselves.
Scanning Your Index Finger Opens Your Household
Parents/Guardians may use their index finger and have it “read” by the biometric reader. With this option, the parent/guardian can “open” their household and select which of their children they would like to check in.
After scanning your index finger, use the touch screen to choose which of your children you are checking in.
Final Check In Step
The children will be placed into the station (classroom) assigned to them based on the active time period. Time periods are defined by the day of week and a starting time. Some examples of time periods would be “Sunday: 9:15 AM service” or “Wednesday: 6:00 PM service”.
Time periods are used if the a child is directed to different stations (classrooms) based on what event or service they are attending.
Pressing the “Finish” button completes the check in process.
A Nametag Is Printed For Each Child
A nametag with the child's picture, program, room name and location is printed on a label printer for each child. Labels can also be printed for items dropped off with a child such as a diaper bag, pacifier, bottle, shoes, jacket, etc.
The nametag will have an M, C or R icon if there is a medical or special care instruction or a restriction for a guardian. An F icon indicates that this is the first time a child has been checked in.
A Check In Slip Is Printed
The system will also print a check in slip for each child. On the Check In slip is a picture of the child and a picture of every adult authorized to pick up the child. Special care or medical instructions can be enter for a child and will print every time the child is checked in. Parents can relay information like allergies, potty training, teething - let cry for 5 minutes before paging parents and so on. The parent brings the child to the child's room and leaves Check In slip with the caregiver.
