Ron Merritt

Director of Children’s Ministries
Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My Name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.”

We believe here at Calvary Chapel that the children are the most precious asset in the eyes of God. We put great emphasis on providing for their spiritual needs from the youngest of them through our young adults. The role of Children’s ministry is to enable people to use their gifts in areas of passion to produce benefits that spill into the home, the market place and the church itself. Our classrooms provide a nurturing environment of faith, love and spiritual growth so that the emerging generation of Calvary’s children will be all that their creator intends them to be.

At all of our services, we offer age appropriate classes for:

  • Nursery Care (under 2 years)
  • Early Childhood (2-5 Years)
  • Elementary Aged (1st – 6th grade)

Because God’s plan is for families to lead in the provision of spiritual development for their children, we need parents to get involved. If you are interested in participating in children’s ministry, ask one of our overseers for an application. Thank you very much. We require all our volunteers to be active at CCSD for 6 months before serving. We train, Screen, and prayerfully place all volunteers.
