Meet the Facility Manager
Dan Smail

Dan was born and raised in Orange County, California back when they still grew oranges there. It was in 1973, fellowshipping at Cypress Community Church and Saturday night concerts at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa that he came to know the Lord.

In 1977, Dan took his inheritance, left Southern California, the embraces of Christian fellowship and rejoined the world. In 1981, taking note that he was quickly squandering that inheritance, he sought to rectify it by enlisting in the U.S. Navy. The Navy was highly instrumental in developing the character and substance of the man, yet it still took him almost 20 years to figure out that true character and substance comes only through Christ.

Dan rededicated his life to the Lord in 2000 and began attending the little church below the freeway. After a life of serving his country, Dan retired in 2004 after 23 rich and fulfilling years. He now turns to serve the Lord and the body of Christ as the Facility Manager at CCSD.

Dan’s heart is that the House of the Lord be maintained and cleaned; “offering up an unblemished lamb before the Lord our God.”

“So the Lord stirred up the spirit…of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God.” Haggai 1:14
