Gary grew up in a Christian home and made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as a young boy. He served for 20 years as Business Administrator of a Christian school in central California. He came to San Diego in 2006 to be near his children and grandchildren and serve as finance manager at CCSD.

He has been married to his loving wife Jan since 1971 and has 3 wonderful children (Erin Spross, Amy Smets, and Nathan) and 3 adorable grandchildren (Brooklyn and Ellison Spross, and Adina Smets).

Gary’s life purpose is to bring honor to God with his life and service and to “pass on the torch” of the gospel to his family.
