It is my desire that as you pursue the various ministries offered to the women of Calvary Chapel San Diego, you would be stirred up to love and good works. My prayer is that our women would grow in love, grace, and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ through the various avenues of fellowship and teaching. The Women’s Ministry is unique in that we offer biblical truth and prayerful concern as we come together to strengthen and encourage each other.

Christian women need to be taught what the Word of God says about being godly women in an ungodly society. We follow the pattern described in Titus 2:3-5—older women teaching younger women to love our husbands, to love and train our children in the way they should go, to have gentle and quiet spirits, to be a light in the workplace, and to take care of our homes.

We offer Bible Studies for women on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings from September through May. This is an opportunity for us to dig deep into the Word using a formatted study of the Bible or biblically-based book. Our desire is to help train women to develop a discipline to be in the Word everyday, and to be encouraged by each other as we weekly meet to share the special insights the Lord has shone each one of us. We also have Spanish Women’s Bible Studies that usually follow the same schedule and Bible study as the English Bible studies. We are blessed to be able to have a group of women serve in providing childcare and biblical guidance for your little ones while you enjoy the study.

Our annual Women’s Retreat takes place in the spring, usually on a weekend toward the end of the month of March. It is in the beautiful Murrieta Hot Springs area at the Calvary Chapel Conference Center. This is a time for refreshment, relaxation, gourmet food, wonderful teaching, worship, and to develop and deepen friendships. This is an opportunity that should be taken, as every woman needs to get away and be built up in the Lord.

Whatever stage of life you are going through, whether young, middle aged, or older, there is an opportunity for you to be ministered to, and/or to which you can be a part of ministry.
