Pastor Don was Born-Again the very first time he heard the gospel when he was a young teenager. It was in 1974, through a home that was opened up to the youth in the neighborhood. He enjoyed studying the Bible with his friends in his neighborhood, Penn Hills, PA. He then spent several years out of fellowship, and traveled across the country until he met another home group studying here in Chula Vista, CA. After rededicating his life to Christ in 1985 at the Billy Graham Crusade, he began attending a Calvary Chapel in San Diego. He began seriously studying the Word and later that year began teaching the home Bible study group.

It was in 1985 that Don met his beautiful wife Stacy and they married in Christ that December. They now have four wonderful teenage children, Joshua, Hannah and Leah (twins) and Christa. They have very much enjoyed raising their children here in Chula Vista and now in Bonita. They have always made Calvary Chapel San Diego their church home for their family and enjoy many friendships here.

It was spring of 1986 when Don first met Pastor Bryan for an Easter outreach. It was then that Don and his wife joined Bryan and this new church in the South Bay. Don felt a calling on his life and Bryan became his mentor and began to disciple him. Don has been serving alongside Bryan since then as a Home Fellowship leader, elder and currently serves as an Assistant Pastor. With the church continually growing at a quick rate, Don oversees the services to ensure things run smoothly, Lord willing.

Don enjoyed a career for twelve years at Christian Ed. Publishers, where he served many churches needs for children’s Sunday school curriculum. He learned much about business, publishing, and management. This experience he now shares here at Calvary Chapel.

Don enjoys missions and outreach and the many opportunities to serve here at Calvary. You will often find him smiling and greeting those who visit, sharing the love of Jesus.
