Job Title: Custodian
FLSA: Non Exempt
Department: Facilities
Type: Part-time, weekend and evening shifts.  This is an open register therefore, your application is valid for one (1) year and qualified applicants are contacted when positions become available.
Responsibilities: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Lord’s house with a servant’s heart.  May be assigned a variety of tasks such as: interior and exterior housekeeping duties (i.e., carpet/floor care, window washing, etc.).  Responsible for event set-up and tear down.
Qualifications: Must possess a High School diploma or GED.  Must be responsible, have a solid work ethic and a desire to serve others. Must be available to work some evening and weekend shifts.

Job Title: Teacher’s Aide
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Preschool
Type: Part-time.   This is an open register therefore, your application is valid for one (1) year and qualified applicants are contacted when positions become available.
Responsibilities: Assists classroom Teacher in the implementation of activities to promote the spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.  Responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, development activities, specialized programs, and positive and spiritual guidance of the children, as well as, maintaining classroom records, cleanliness and orderliness.
Qualifications: This person must be a professing Christian with a vibrant and active spiritual life who desires to teach/model “Simply Jesus, Superior Academics and Servant Leadership” to their students. Calvary Christian Academy (CCA) is an extension and ministry of Calvary Chapel San Diego and strives to provide a high standard of care and professionalism for the children that are entrusted to it.

Must possess a High School diploma or GED and have at least one (1) year of childcare experience.  Successful candidates should have twelve (12) core credits in Early Childhood Education or enrolled and in the process of completing units.  Must have a love for children!

Job Title: Substitute Teacher
Department: School (Primary and Secondary Grades)
Type: August 15, 2011 – May 31, 2012
On Call, as needed basis, daily rate. This is an open register therefore, your application is valid for one (1) year and qualified applicants are contacted when positions become available.
Responsibilities: Serves as a professional teacher who assists students to achieve optimum development of skills and mastery of knowledge by conducting assigned subject-matter of grade-level(s) instruction within the primary and secondary grades.
Qualifications: This person must be a professing Christian with a vibrant and active spiritual life who desires to teach/model “Simply Jesus, Superior Academics and Servant Leadership” to their students. Bachelor’s degree in related subject or four (4) years equivalent experience in a similar position.  Must have working knowledge of various teaching principles, practices and techniques.  Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.  Experience using Power School software is a plus.  Experience using Abeka and Saxon Math curriculum is a plus.

Job Title: Various Coaching Positions (4th – 6th grades and 7th -8th grades)
Basketball
FLSA: Stipend
Department: Athletics
Type: 2011-12 School Year (Winter and Spring Season)
Mon/Wed/Fri, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm and game days
Responsibilities: Coach student athletes (various levels) in seasonal sport.  Help students fulfill their maximum potential in that specific sport.  Maintains CCA standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.  Supervises and mentors athletes within sport.  Adheres and enforces school rules, policies and procedures and safety guidelines. Ensures proper use of athletic equipment. Responsible for returning CCA athletic equipment at end of practice and season.  Directs athletes at competitive event. Follows all leagues and other school policies related to conduct.  Reminds athletes and their families of games and practice schedule. Works with Athletic Director in the transportation for all away contests.  Receives and notifies Athletic Director of athlete’s physical and academic eligibility, including special requirements of transfer students.  Present for all after school practices and attends games and programs associated with sport as directed by the Athletic Director.  May serve in mentoring of students.
Qualifications: Must have previous experience as a Coach and understanding of various practices and techniques.  Must be enthusiastic, have high-energy and servant’s heart to serve.  Must be First Aid and CPR certified.   Must successfully pass background requirements.
