School Philosophy

PURPOSE | PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION | STATEMENT OF FAITH

PURPOSE

In today's world of tumult and shifting values, it is imperative that we be given the best opportunities to develop strong intellectual and moral character. CCA and CCTC provide a Christ-centered, spiritual and academic environment that seeks the best education and the richest fulfillment of potential for each student. Our purpose and desire is to train the whole student so that he/she will develop according to the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, being a godly influence in our world.

Our goal is that each student will experience the full, regenerating power of Jesus Christ and the Word of God through the work of the Holy Spirit in his/her life. At the same time, we expect each student to strive for the highest development of each of his/her God-given gifts and talents.

Because the Christian approach to learning differs significantly from the secular viewpoint, CCA and CCTC offer a curriculum rooted in a God-centered view of life. This view holds that God's Word is the standard for all truth. The curriculum, taught by a prayerfully-chosen, Christian faculty, allows academic instruction consistent with the Christ-centered teaching.

PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

The basis of our philosophy is the belief in God the Father, Jesus Christ our Savior, the Holy Spirit, and God's Word - the Bible. We believe in the authority, authenticity and reliability of the Bible as the complete and final revelation of God concerning all matters of faith, truth and practice.

All our goals and objectives are based on the Bible. These goals and objectives include:

  1. To assure the salvation of all our students. Matt. 28:19-20
  2. To teach and disciple students in biblical truths to promote a Christian worldview in a culturally diverse society. Col 1:16-17, 28-29
  3. To develop lifelong learners who strive for excellence. 2 Tim 2:15
  4. Prepare our students to be leaders in their communities as well as their nation. 2 Tim 2:2, 4:2

We believe in the conviction that the knowledge of the Bible and of Jesus Christ is essential to the development and growth of the individual in physical, mental, social and spiritual areas. The school is an extension of the family and also an extension of the church. In this capacity, we will promote the relationships of family, church, school and members of the body of Christ.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Jesus Christ
He is the foundation and cornerstone of the church. He came to restore mankind's broken relationship with God. The finished work on the cross made that possible. Because of His love demonstrated on the cross by dying for sins, we now have reason to fellowship with one another and proclaim salvation through His life, death, and resurrection. 1 Cor 3:11, Eph 2:20, Rom 5:6-10

The Bible
It is the inspired, infallible Word of God and is relevant and applicable to man today. Therefore, we place great emphasis upon teaching it in public, studying it in private, and using it as a guide for our daily lives. 1 Tim 4:12, 2 Tim 2:16-17, 1 Thes 2:13

Worship
We believe God is worthy of all praise, reverence and love. We take special time to worship Him in church through song. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives as well; at home, at work, and at play. Jn 15:5, Rom 8:29, Eph 4:15

Christian Growth
Our supreme desire is to know Jesus and be conformed to His image, likeness and example by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage this by abiding in Jesus Christ through His word, prayer, fellowship and by yielding our lives to the Holy Spirit. Jn 4:23, Co 3:16, 1 Thes 2:13

Love
This is the greatest virtue and demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ. We endeavor to show a Christ-like love to all mankind. Love should be exhibited in our lives by our words as well as our actions. Jn 13:34, 1 Cor 13:13, Phil 2:3-5
